Tyler Metcalf

Tyler Metcalf (plays Jaken) has been acting since he was 10 years old. Primarily starting off in theatre, Tyler began acting in school plays as well as community theatre in Oakville. Appearing in such plays as Alice in Wonderland as well as Grease. After graduating high-school in 2006, Tyler decided to make the move to film and television. Since then, Tyler’s credits have included tv-shows such as Final 24, where he portrayed drummer John Densmore of The Doors, as well as Urban Legends. Tyler was recently seen in a Burger King commercial. Tyler also appeared in the short film Champagne, which was selected by the Toronto International Film Festival in 2010. On his off time Tyler enjoys watching movies, playing the drums, writing and relaxing with his friends.

>Yasmin Neale

Yasmin Neale (plays Kyler) is a dancer,actor,activist and a journalism student at Humber College. She was born in Guelph and grew up in the industry , her father was late Haydain Neale front man of Jacksoul and her mother has worked as as a Producer and director. Yasmin has always had a passion for the arts and specifically acting as a child. She attended Rosedale Heights School of the Arts majoring in Drama and has been acting professionally for the past few years.

Conway Gaskin

Conway  Gaskin (plays Connor) is 18 years old.  He attended Wexford School for the Arts and has been acting for 4 years now. In his spare time, he likes hanging out with his friends, watching movies and exploring the city. In addition he likes to swim, bike and can serve a mean spike in beach volleyball.

Anthony Rella

Anthony Rella (plays Gavin) has been acting and performing for several years now, as it’s always been a great passion of his. He’s thrilled to have the chance to be a part of Poser, and very fortunate to work with such a talented cast and crew. He’s currently completing a BFA in Performance Acting at the Ryerson Theater School, where some performances include As You Like It, The Three Sisters, Clown Show 2010,The Country Wife, and Company. Other work’s include original productions of Fragments, The Divine Comedy, and Rajana (Festival Film). As well as Inventions that Shook The World (TV Show), and Storming Juno (Feature Film). Special shout out’s go to his family, friends, and Ayinde (you know why).

Nicole Proctor

Nicole Proctor is very excited to be part of the Poser team! She is a student at Ryerson University, Nicole met Alley (the creator of Poser) in her Digital Media class in first year and had no idea what Alley had in store for her. This is Nicole Proctor’s first production debut. She is often mistaken for Cameron Diaz and her mother’s fortune teller knew she’d work in television one day.

Shane Gray

Shane Gray (plays Mr. Morit), born in a small town with big ambitions went to become a Primary Care Paramedic in 2008. Although he loves working as a Paramedic, Shane realized his true passion was Acting after taking on his first lead role in a student film Till Death Do Us Partin 2009. From there he decided to pursue this dream by attending Toronto Academy of Acting and E Fulcher Group acting work shops and continued with private lessons taught by Frank Carusso. Shane had then appeared in many more short films including Life is Good, Crossroads, and Offside.   He has also been seen in TV shows such as Flashpoint, Being Erica, and Alphas. There he landed himself his first lead TV pilot in 99 Bellevue in 2010. With 2010 coming to an end Shane auditioned for Poser and landed a reoccurring role as Mr. Morit.

Elena D.

ELENA D (plays Ann) BORN IN EUROPE AND CAME TO CANADA IN 1990. I HAVE HAD A LOVE FOR THE ARTS AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. AS A KID I REMEMBER SINGING AND PERFORMING IN DAYCARE, IMAGINING IT WAS BEING BROADCASTED TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND THEY WERE ALL WATCHING ME PERFORM. ACTING HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY PASSION SECOND TO THAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY AND DRAWING. ANYTHING CREATIVE TRIGERS MY SENSES. I TOOK DRAMA IN GR 10 AND DID A FEW MODELING AND ACTING JOBS BY THE AGE OF 14. AS ANY TEENAGER FELT AT THAT AGE I TOO FELT A BIT OUT OF PLACE BUT I KNEW WHAT I WANTED TO DO AND THAT WAS ACTING. THE CONFIDENCE TO DO THIS BECAME A JOURNEY THAT I AM STILL GETTING USE TO. FAMILY COMES FIRST TO ME AND AFTER SPENDING A NUMBER OF YEARS OUT OF THE LOOP I DECIDED TO PURSUE ACTING AGAIN. IN 2009 I MADE IT A GOAL FOR MYSELF TO TAKE ACTING CLASSES AND DO ANYTHING WHICH WOULD GIVE ME EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD. DETERMINED TO FOLLOW THROUGH I TOOK SOME ACTING CLASSES IN TORONTO WHICH GAVE ME AN EXTRA PUSH TO KEEP GOING FORWARD. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE FEELING OF GOING TO CLASS EACH WEEK. IT WAS BECAUSE OF THAT DRIVE IN THE LAST 2 YEARS THAT I FIND MYSELF TODAY BEING A PART OF POSER. ITS A GREAT FEELING TO BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING YOU LOVE.

Mena Massoud

Mena currently trains at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto. He is extremely excited to be a part of Poser and to be playing the character of Brett. Recent credits include: Nikita (Warner Bros.), What Happens Next (York University), The 99 (Endemol UK) and Twelve Angry Men (Scarborough Theatre).

Romaine Waite

Driven and focused, Romaine (plays Logan) strives to successfully reach each goal he sets for himself. Whether it’s perfecting his craft, or traveling the world, he will certainly get it done. In addition to Poser, Romaine has worked on several short films a feature film and even hosted an interactive after-school show all within the past year. His easy-going, approachable demeanor is infectious but appreciated. Romaine’s continued goal is to inform and entertain; and with his knack for story telling and engaging viewers he will quickly become a well-known and recognizable face on Canadian television

Allan Brunet

Allan Michael  (plays Jordan)comes from the world of theatre. As an actor, director, writer and designer, he has helped to create over one hundred shows during his twenty-year career. Since turning his focus to the camera, he has appeared in close to a dozen short and feature length films. Poser is Allan Michael’s first television series. He still keeps one foot firmly planted on the stage, however and this summer Allan Michael will be starring in Soup Can Theatre’s production of Marat/Sade at Alumnae Theatre.

Charles Sferrazza

Charles (born in Hamilton, Ontario) is an actor and artist best know for playing the role of Blake Miles on “Poser“. Charles got into acting in 1996 intending to play X- Men’s Wolverine. In 2000 his dreams were crushed. Charles went into hiding for several years and is now back in his first role ever.

Lena Maripuu

 

Lena Maripuu is a grade 12 student and an aspiring actor. She attends Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts and is a part of the Musical Theatre and Drama Focus Programs. She has performed in Wexford’s Rent and The Music Man, as well as in the Grade 12 Drama Focus production of Welcome to Thebes, where she played a leading role, “Eurydice.” Her previous roles in her community theatre group Bravo Academy for the Performing Arts include “Ursula” in Bye Bye Birdie, “Madame Thenardier” in Les Misérables, “Aunt Eller” in Oklahoma, “Mabel Washington” in Fame, and “Anybodys” in West Side Story. She also performed in Leaside High School’s production of Zadie’s Shoes in grade nine, where she played a leading role, “Beth.” Lena is currently taking lessons in voice and dance, as well as filming a pilot episode for Poser, a(n older) Teenage Drama Series, where she is playing the role of “Chelsea Underwood.”

Ayinde Blake

Ayinde Blake  (plays Hayden) is an actor in training at the Ryerson Theatre School. He is a graduate of the Etobicoke School Of The Arts Musical Theatre Program. Credits include Tough! (Factory Theatre), Clown 2010The Three Sisters, As You Like It (RTS), and Anne Of Green Gables: The Musical (ESA). Additional credits include appearances for CityTV and MTV Canada as well as commercials. He is also a film critic for the Saturday Morning Live! program on CKLN FM radio.
Jasmitaa Chhabra

Jasmitaa Chhabra stars as Shobana in ‘POSER’. She has played the lead role in several theatre productions, including ‘Shakuntala’ by Kalidasa, ‘Growing up Griffin’ by Dan Hubbard, and ‘Pop Song’ by Sean Reycraft. Dancing for 10 years, she has been a member of ‘Shiamak’s Indo-Jazz Dance Movement’ in Toronto, specializing in an innovative dance form that combines Western Jazz technique and Indian express,h5ion. She has also recently begun her training in ballet and participates in countless arts, cultural and social initiatives. Jasmitaa has helped raise awareness for ‘Spread the Net’, an initiative by The Belinda Stronach Foundation and The Tony Blair Faith Foundation, which focuses on preventing deaths caused by Malaria in Sub-Saharan Africa. She makes it a point to participate in the ’30 Hour Famine’ annually. In her spare time, Jasmitaa enjoys reading books by Jodi Picoult, her favorite author.

Ben Eggert

Benjamin Eggert (plays Joel) was born March 1st 1994. He had been acting for one year before he landed the role of Joel in the Tv show poser. He hopes to have a strong acting career following the show.

Melissa Eggert

Melissa Frances Eggert was born May 29th 1990. She has been acting for a couple of years now and singing and dancing since she was 4 years old. When she was 14 she co-starred in the musical Wanda’s World. Since then she has been in various small theatre musicals and plays Janice in the TV series Poser.

Vlad Toma

Vlad (who plays Marshall) is 23 years old and currently finishing his studies at the University of Toronto in Business Administration after which he hopes to attend the Haas School of Business at Berkeley. He was born in Romania in 1988 and spent a great part of his childhood in France before coming to Canada when he was 11. Some of his passions include skiing, rock-climbing, and nature photography. He is now working at the Intelligent Transportation Systems Society of Canada as a Project Officer.
